2019 La Vie Malbec
Malbec originates in Southwest France and is one of the five grapes found in Bourdeaux blends. Malbec found a new home in Argentina in the late 1800s, where it flourished and now leads production with approximately 75% of the world’s Malbec grapes. Loving high elevation, the Texas High Plains has also become a great place for Malbec grapes.
This full-bodied wine is deep purple in color with aromas of violets and plums. Blackberry jam, milk chocolate and sweet tobacco greet your palate with silky tannins and a slight peppery finish. Malbec pairs well with dark poultry meat, lean red meats, mushrooms, roasted vegetables, rosemary and garlic. Try with blue cheese or other soft cheese.
Aged in French oak 36+ months. The grapes are from the Texas High Plains.
