Malbec grapes are known for their flavors of dark, plump fruits, especially berries. The grape also enjoys higher elevations and does well in warmer climates, making it a perfect match for an excellent Texas rosé.
The La Vie 100% Malbec Rosé shows off a bright raspberry hue. Aromas of red berries, watermelon and grapefruit tease your taste buds. The light body and crisp acidity provide a lovely balance to strawberries and watermelon on the palate, with a slight mineral finish. This wine is delicious to sip anytime and pairs well with fish and mild spices.
2021 Malbec Rosé had a prolonged soak and press cycle, followed by a cold soak. It was aged about 8 months in stainless steel, with partial malolactic fermentation to smooth the acid, but keep it tart. The grapes are from the Steve and Cindy Newsom Vineyards.
